Usually, for me, I begin my OFFICIAL countdown once costume has been selected and all that!
Months of preparation, dreams, long distance conferences about what to wear, what fetes we going to, how we going to wine down to the ground with any and every man, woman and inanimate object, and so forth totally takes over. Some of us so bold that we forget Thanksgiving, and dare I say, Christmas.
But once Midnight rolls around and the clock strikes 12:01 AM it's as if the clock is literally rushing us to get to the airport so you can be first in line,, make sure the suitcase is not over the required weight allowed (that's another post), and the worrying that some go through over the embarrassment one suffers when you have to move to the side and remove clothing, lol.
All in all, no matter when you begin your countdown, just remember to breathe, relax, be safe and have a ball. Especially on a ram packed flight full of drunkards and those who will not shut up during the 4.5 hour flight :)

I know at times I literally dread going to the airport with my suitcase, lol. I have even taken it the same day to the airport to weight it ahead of time to avoid the embarrassment you speak of.
ReplyDeleteMy countdown doesn't really start until about November, why? mainly because that's when I get my ticket and usually purchase my costume and all that
you need to stop with these real posts ok, because I swear you are speaking directly to me just like the way my preacher did on Sunday
