Alright so i havent posted in a while. my blackberry was destroyed so i have to get a new one. So I have have to blog the geriatric way, on my computer. Urghh blaspemy just blasphemy.
Anywho I've calmed down now. I just realised I have become patient. After coping with the bobol of delays with my corset, the seamstress has some personal issues, they could'nt get the colour blah blah blah. Fine i took some deep breaths.
Yesterday i got my corset in black. Yuma called me the day before, to say no no no no black. Your section is yellow so white or tan. i said i know, but they were not able to get the colour so black it is. She said ok we will just have to line it over. i said cool. so i got it yesterday took it to yuma. let me back track first. i live san juan, the place i got the corset sewn was Sande Grande. Due to time constraints with work i wasnt able to go up there and actually never had to go becasue they corset person met me in san juan to get the money and met me in POS to deliver my corset. I measured myself twice the first was done by a tailor, they said the measurements were incorrect so i measured for my self with the help of a friend, with the seamstress on the line giving me the instructions. so this time i was sure it would be correct.
so i went to yuma yesterday paid an obnoxious ghanian taxi driver 20dollars from woodford square to yuma on alcazar street. I got there thinking crap today is monday oh jeez i just wasted my money. then i said isnt today tuesday why they close up so. what the hell yuma closed and they didnt even say anything on facebook. steups. Never assume when you assume......... you all know the rest. i am very boldfaced it works in a good way for me sometimes. i pushed the gate open walked into the yard and straight to the viewing room to see gemini individual costume staring me in my face. i nearly passed out because that headpiece is hottttttttt. i walked about the showroom saying morning. morning. yuma mas camp looked like a ghost town. One cashier at the booth and the security guard was in the corner.he should have been to the front because yuma could easily hae been robbed like that. Anyway i asked for the production manager and they called her for me. i took a walk aroung the show room and saw aries individual costume with the corset which is wicked. i started to daydream about being on the road.
The production manager came and i told her i just got my corset and i havent tried it on so i'd like to try it on to see how it fits. well in the fitting room i guess it was time against us and i had no patience because it laced up to the back so to lace it up and lace it down again was'nt gong to happen. it was then i realised that my corset was too short and it didnt have any cups. This is important for a bee sting chested girl like myself. It was made of satin which i was told by the PM that it would not be able to decorate because it doesnt have the stretch and basically the decorations will look lame because it doesnt have the cup. ok very understandable. The PM also said, try the person who is sewing our bras and see if she will make one for you. i said ok. no problem thank you. the PM also stated that the seamstress should have known better to make it with spandex type material to facilitate decorating. ok no problem.
I was a bit despondent but i said i will just buy one because all this up and down story im not for that. i went looking for one and well that made no sense because none of those places had corsets the had long line bras with the hooks but they all stopped short. i have to try two other stores though.
I got home and i messaged the corset person i was'nt feeling to talk to anyone so i messaged the problem. I got an immediate response saying that they will go to yuma today to find out exactly what they want because they always make the corset in satin not spandex. i asked cant it just be made in the material that they usually make the corsets with she said yes. But she will have to source the material and what not. they did'nt say if i would have to pay for it if a new one is made. i am waiting for a reply later today.
Meanwhile i decided i would wear my corset to a concert instead with my leather leggings. The result is unspeakable, u imagine a short corset with a punch in a leggings not a pretty sight.
so i am sitting in my corset right now typing this. i had my son take some pics of the front back and sideview to see what im talking about. i wont lie i love the corset i wish it had cups and that is was longer thats all. Choclate chip extra large muffin tops are not fabulous.
did i also mention i dont know how the hell im going to come out of thsi corset because my nephew laced it up for me and now he has gone to school. hmmmmm.

ReplyDeleteso what you telling me is that i can put these same pics of myself in my corset and panty on the road just add some glitter and a headpiece and its fine. but put them up just like this and its wrong. wow what a double standard. when i put these up i was saying to myself that someone would have something to say and yall said it. if i had dreassed in my costume this year with heapiece it would be fine. embrace yuh curves ladies. maybe i should hide my face and put it as anonymous but i put it as rasta barbie. and @ perfect plus what is stuff like that. oh and im sure if i was skinny and posted this it would have been no problem. what the monthly slary is this. thanks for the constructuive criticism.

I'm a plus size lady, I just think that it's a matter of personal pride when it comes to showcasing yourself. Showing yourself at Carnival time in your costume with stockings, boyshorts, bikini, waistband, boots, etc is different than you in your home in your panty and a corset.
ReplyDeleteConfidence is one thing, I'm not sure if what you have is confidence as opposed to it just being about a shock value and a "I totally do not care attitude."
But like my Father has always said, "do what makes you happy, but, make sure you are not embarrassing yourself in the process."
I think the owner of the blog had a right to change as she feels fit, if you don't like it, then start your own blog for your cause.
ReplyDeleteI don't care to see any size ass in my face when I log onto a blog. Big, small, medium don't care how nicely it's packaged it. I think that many big girls just feel too comfortable in letting it all hang out. I am a very skinny person, and heaven forbid if I ever decide to wear pum pum shorts, that's just not right and I know this, therefore I will not subject myself to ridicule on any level.
ReplyDeleteto each his own yes. the owner of the blog did adjust the pictures as you can see. one man's garbage is another man's prize possession in retrospect i should have edited. and in further posts i will continue to do so. i take constructive criticism very well unlike others.
